ceramic sculpture | installation

These prototypes for ceramic tiles explore domestic tools and household tasks as subject matter, for its historical association with “women’s work.” Symmetry and repetition are used as an expression of domestic routine, such as laundry, cleaning and food preparation to understand control, power, devotion, love, labour and community in these private and personal settings.

Work produced during the Hoyt House Residency, through the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, King’s Landing and the provincial archives collection of New Brunswick.

Exhibited at the McBeath Gallery.

Wallpaper made and exhibited in conjunction with GRIT: Intergenerational Women’s Art Collective for International Women’s Day 2019.
